Cooperative Personnel Gain Recognition at Statewide Association’s Annual Meeting
Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative’s (CVEC) statewide trade association, the Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives (IAEC), hosted its 2024 Annual Meeting at the Sheraton West Des Moines Conference Center on December 5 and 6. The event welcomed over 350 registered attendees, including board directors and employees from Iowa’s locally owned electric co-ops. Attendees received informative updates from statewide directors and staff while also learning about industry trends and best practices from expert speakers.
During the event, CVEC personnel were honored for their noteworthy accomplishments.
25-Year Awardee
As part of the business meeting, the statewide association recognized several electric cooperative employees and directors for achieving 25 years of service in 2024. Among them was Richard Welsh, a director at Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative.
“Richard’s dedication and leadership have made a lasting impact on our organization, and we are grateful for his unwavering commitment to our cooperative and community.,” said CVEC CEO/General Manager Troy Amoss.
Cooperative Leadership in Iowa Program
IAEC also celebrated the graduation of 17 participants from its 2024 Cooperative Leadership in Iowa Program (CLIP), designed for emerging leaders. The program included a yearlong schedule of in-person, virtual and on-demand training sessions aimed at building leadership skills and understanding various cooperative roles. CVEC’s very own Communications Coordinator/Executive Assistant Anna See was among the graduates.
“Anna is truly the role model of a cooperative employee. She always strives to do what benefits the cooperative before herself,” said Amoss.
CVEC takes great pride in the dedication and achievements of its team and board members, whose commitment drives the cooperative forward to better serve our members. Congratulations, Richard and Anna!
