Additional Payment Options

Budget Billing

Budget Billing

Budget Billing is a fixed amount each month, which does not vary. At the end of 12 months, the difference between the actual bills and the budget billing amounts will have to be trued up

How To Qualify

  • You must be a member of CVEC for 12 months before becoming eligible for this option

  • Your account must be paid current to begin the budget billing option

How the Budget Billing Works

  • Your budget amount is determined by your average usage of the previous twelve months

  • After twelve months, your account must be trued up and a new budget amount will be calculated to determine the appropriate new budgeted amount for the next 12 months

How to Apply

  • Call our office and speak with a Member Service Representative at 641-932-7126 or 800-475-1702

Levelized Billing

Levelized Budget Billing

With Levelized Billing, your bill amount is re-averaged each month, using the past 12 months; therefore, the amount varies each month

How To Qualify

  • You must be a member of CVEC for 12 months before becoming eligible for this option

  • Your account must be paid current to begin the levelized budget billing option

How the Budget Billing Works

  • Your starting Levelized Budget Billing payment amount is determined by your average usage of the previous twelve months and will continue to re-average each month

  • Members who use Levelized Billing also never have a month in which the payment would need to be trued up

How to Apply

  • Call our office and speak with a Member Service Representative at 641-932-7126 or 800-475-1702

Invoice Billing

What Is Invoice Billing?

Invoice billing is a convenient billing option offered by Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative for businesses, organizations and individuals with multiple accounts. This method consolidates all charges from multiple accounts into a single, easy-to-read monthly invoice, simplifying the payment process and improving account management.

How It Works:

  1. Consolidated Billing: Instead of receiving separate bills for each account, you will receive one invoice listing all charges for the accounts under your name.

  2. Detailed Breakdown: Each invoice provides a clear breakdown of usage, fees and charges for each account, ensuring transparency and accuracy.

  3. Single Payment: Make one payment to cover all accounts, reducing the hassle of managing multiple due dates or transactions.

Benefits of Invoice Billing:

  • Simplified Accounting: Keep all account information in one place, making budgeting and record-keeping easier.

  • Time-Saving: Pay one bill instead of managing multiple.

  • Eco-Friendly: Reduces the paper used for billing, especially if you choose paperless options.

Invoice billing is ideal for businesses, landlords and members with multiple service points who want a more streamlined approach to managing their energy bills.

How to Sign Up:

If you are interested in enrolling in invoice billing or have questions about how it works, please contact our office at 641-932-7126. Our team is here to help!
