Scholarship Details

$1,500 Scholarship for Electrical Lineworker or Electrical Engineering Students
The applicant must enroll in an accredited electrical lineworker program or pursue a post-secondary education in the electrical engineering field. The $1,500 scholarship will be disbursed directly to the institution at the beginning of the second semester or upon completion of the program. The recipient must achieve a minimum 2.5 GPA during the first semester/program and provide proof of second-semester enrollment or program completion certificate to recieve the funds. -
Four $1,000 Scholarships for Any Field of Study
The applicant must pursue a post-secondary education in any field leading to a degree, certification or license. The $1,000 will be disbursed directly to the institution at the start of the second semester upon proof of at least 12 credit hours of enrollment. The recipient must achieve a minimum 2.5 GPA during the first semester and provide proof of second-semester enrollment to receive the funds. -
Applicants must be graduating seniors from an accredited high school or homeschooling program.

Applicant’s parent(s) or guardian(s) must be active members of Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative.

Scholarships are limited to students attending accredited institutions of higher learning, including vocational schools, technical schools, junior colleges or universities.

Children or stepchildren of Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative employees or Board of Directors are not eligible.

The completed application, typed essay and high school transcript must be received by March 31, 2025. All three are required to constitute application.

Recipients are responsible for providing Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative with the necessary documentation for scholarship disbursement.

Scholarships must be claimed within 12 months of being awarded. Unclaimed scholarships will be forfeited.

The Scholarship Selection Committee will review all applications and make final decisions based on submitted materials.
