Bank Draft benefits:

How Bank Draft Works:
With Bank Draft you receive a monthly bill that notifies you of the amount due. The funds to cover your bill will automatically be transferred from your account to ours on or a few days within your due date. Please be advised that weekends and holidays can affect the timing of the withdrawal.

Budget Billing means you pay the same amount on your bill each month for a 12 month period.
How To Qualify
- You must be a member of Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative for 12 months before becoming eligible for the budget option. The budget amount is based on the previous 12 month history.
- Your account must be paid current to begin the Budget Billing option.
How the Budget Billing Works
- Your budget payment amount is determined by your average usage of the previous twelve months.
- After twelve months on the plan, your account must be paid current and a new budget amount will be calculated using your previous 12 month usage.

Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative accepts Discover, MasterCard and VISA credit card on-line payments.
Paying by credit card allows you to:

Chariton Valley Electric Cooperative accepts online electronic check payment of your electric bill.
Paying by E-Check allows you to:
- Reduce your cost of checks and stamps.

When completing a transaction be sure to verify that all of your banking information is correct. If a transaction is rejected by your financial institution additional charges will be applied to your account.

Our office headquarters is open for receiving your payments from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. We are located at 2090 Highway 5 south of Albia.
If you need to make a payment when the office is closed, we have conveniently placed two drop boxes at our headquarters location. One is located beside our front door and the other is located on the north side of the circle drive as you pull off the highway to our headquarters. These drop boxes can be accessed 24 hours a day.
The drop boxes are emptied each business morning. Please be advised that if you put a payment in the box after 8:00 a.m. it will not be processed until the following working day.
To ensure that you receive proper credit for your payments, please place your payment stub and check or money order in the envelope provided. For your safety, please do not place cash in the drop boxes.
